TARAJI P. HENSON AND KATE SPADE BRING MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES TO HBCU CAMPUSES

Taraji P. Henson, the founder of The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation, Tracie Jade Jenkins, Executive Director of BLHF and Kate Spade have stepped up to fill the need for accessible mental health resources on college campuses by creating physical “safe spaces” for Gen Z students called ‘She Care Wellness Pods.’

MAKING BLACK HISTORY TODAY

Social Campiagn

"Making Black History Today" was a dynamic social campaign that I led through compelling social media content, interviews, and articles; the campaign spotlighted contemporary Black achievements and contributions across various fields. It encouraged open conversations, education, and inspiration, promoting the idea that history is a living narrative we all actively participate in.


By fostering engagement and awareness on social platforms, "Making Black History Today" aimed to transcend the limitations of a confined history month, urging everyone to recognize the significance of Black excellence every day of the year.

BLAVITY U HOMECOMING WEEK

Social Campaign

I spearheaded the campaign and orchestrated the Blavity U annual HBCU Homecoming Celebration. Over the course of the week, I spotlighted this monumental cultural event on Instagram, a platform central to the celebration of Black collegiate life, legacy, history, and pride. Moreover, I strategically repurposed this content across various social platforms (Pinterest, TikTok, and Twitter) to raise awareness about this authentic showcase of Black excellence.

I also fostered partnerships with brands that share Blavity U's mission of supporting HBCU communities, ensuring equal access to resources and opportunities for the Black community.
